TRENDS FORECASTING

Trends Forecasting was the second module in first year. Although still a written module, it was an introduction to more visually pleasing outcomes. This module was also the introduction to the ADOBE software, mainly InDesign.

The main aim of the Trends Module was to research different medias such as the news, newspapers, magazines, from any different subject area to find collating articles to form our key drivers. I then evaluated each key driver, and created a Zeitgeist for each one and matched up key themes within them to create my starting trend. These key drivers would then be our starting trend to then apply to a chosen sector. My trend was the up and coming use of technology within the marketing and for the future. I then decided to apply this in a Visual Merchandising concept, called 'Artificial Intelligence'.

This Visual Merchandising concept was created through use of images, and looking at different brands that were already showing signs of using this emerging trend.
